Two-Factor Authentication

This guide explains Two-Factor Authentication in the Getting started & setup area of ClinicSoftware. It provides a clear operational explanation of how the capability works, then outlines the practical benefits for saving staff time, converting clients and leads, and protecting clinic revenue.

How it works

Enabling two-factor authentication is one of the most effective and secure ways to protect your account. It adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code in addition to your password, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

To activate two-factor authentication, please follow the steps below:

1.Navigate to Business Users (as a primary user), select the user you want to edit, and open the Two-Factor Authentication Settings.

2.Enable all required options, then select Add Google Authenticator.

3.Set the Default Two-Factor Authentication Method, add a description, and select Add Two-Factor Authentication Method.

4.Scan the QR code using the Google Authenticator Mobile app and save your settings.

5.Once configured, each time the staff member logs in, they will be required to enter a verification code generated by the Google Authenticator app.
